AEGON is investing at all levels of the sport, from grass roots to world-class events, in a five-year agreement with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the governing body of tennis in the United Kingdom.

AEGON's support is helping to get more people playing tennis through community programs like AEGON Schools Tennis and AEGON Parks Tennis. From March 2009 to June 2010, AEGON has delivered 7,906 AEGON Schools Tennis kits, containing:

Backing emerging British talent

When a young player shows promise, AEGON is helping to make sure they get the support they need to reach their full potential. Almost 400 players are on the AEGON FutureStars program, with the best moving up to join Team AEGON, the elite players heading for the world’s top 100. These LTA-run player programs offer specialist coaching and development.

Sponsoring national and international events

Three of the best-known events are the AEGON Championships at The Queen’s Club, London, the AEGON Classic at Birmingham and the AEGON International at Eastbourne. In 2009, Andy Murray won the inaugural AEGON Championships, becoming the first British winner for over 70 years.
